Terms of service

These Terms of Service govern your use of the iotean website and any order you place through it. By using the site or placing an order, you agree to them. If you do not agree, please do not use the site.

1. Agreement to These Terms

These terms form a binding agreement between you and Xiangxi Shuangxin Trading Co., Ltd., the operator of iotean. They apply alongside our Privacy Policy, Shipping Policy, Return & Refund Policy and Payment Methods page, which are incorporated into this agreement by reference. If something in another policy conflicts with these terms, these terms control.

2. Eligibility

You must be at least 18 years old, or the age of majority where you live, to place an order. If you are under that age, you may use the site only with the involvement of a parent or guardian. You are responsible for the accuracy of the information you give us and for any activity that occurs under your account.

3. Product Information

We describe our products as accurately as we can, including fabric composition, lining, stretch, and the measurements in the size chart on each product page. Please read those details before ordering. In particular:

Lace and openwork snag. Fine lace catches on rings, watches, bag hardware, zips and Velcro. We inspect every piece before dispatch, but a snag caused while dressing is not a manufacturing fault.
Sheer and unlined fabrics. Where a piece is described as sheer or unlined, it is designed to be layered. The product page states whether a camisole is needed.
Pleated and crinkled fabrics. These have soft creases by design. Hang or steam lightly from a distance; do not press them flat with a hot iron, which permanently damages the pleating.
Colour. We do not alter the colour of our photography, but screens and lighting differ, so a shade may look slightly different in person. A reasonable difference in colour is not a defect.
Print placement. Floral and printed fabrics are cut differently on every piece, so motif placement varies from the photograph.
Measurements. A difference of 1–3 cm against the stated size chart falls within normal manufacturing tolerance.
Care. Follow the care label on the garment. Damage caused by washing or drying against those instructions is not a fault.

Sizing varies between styles and fabrics. We are not responsible for a fit problem that arises because the size chart was not checked — but we will always help you choose, if you email us your measurements before ordering.

4. Pricing and Pricing Errors

All prices are shown in the currency displayed at checkout and exclude import duties and taxes unless stated otherwise.
We may change prices at any time. The price that applies to your order is the one shown when you place it.
If a product is listed at an incorrect price because of a genuine error — a misplaced decimal, a system fault, a wrong currency conversion — we will contact you before dispatch. You can cancel and receive a full refund, or confirm the order at the correct price. We are not obliged to fulfil an order at a price that resulted from a manifest error.
Promotions, discounts and free shipping thresholds apply only as described at the time they run, and cannot be applied retrospectively.

5. Order Formation and Cancellation

Your order is an offer to buy. A contract is formed only when we send you a shipping confirmation email. Before that point, we may cancel the order — for example if an item sells out, if a pricing error is found, if an address cannot be verified, or if a fraud review fails. If we cancel, we refund you in full and tell you why.

We also reserve the right to refuse or limit any order, including limiting quantities per customer, per address or per payment method, where we reasonably believe an order is not genuine.

6. Payment and Billing

Payment is taken when you place the order. You confirm that you are authorised to use the payment method provided and that the billing information is accurate. Payment methods are listed on our Payment Methods page. Any duties, import taxes or local sales taxes are the responsibility of the recipient and are not included in our prices.

7. Shipping and Delivery

Delivery is estimated at 7–15 days from the date you place your order, to most destinations, with tracking. Delivery times are estimates and not guarantees, and we are not liable for delays caused by customs, weather, carrier capacity or other events outside our control. Risk of loss passes to you on delivery to the address you provided. Full terms are in our Shipping Policy.

8. Returns and Refunds

Returns are accepted within 30 days of delivery on eligible unworn items. Return shipping is at your cost unless we made a mistake — the item arrived damaged, faulty, was not what you ordered, or differs materially from its description, in which case we cover it. Full terms are in our Return & Refund Policy, which governs all returns.

9. Discount Codes and Promotions

Codes apply only during the stated period, to the stated items, and cannot be combined unless we say so.
Codes cannot be exchanged for cash and are not valid on previous orders.
We may withdraw a code or cancel an order placed using one that was issued in error, distributed without authorisation, or obtained through abuse of a promotion.

10. Intellectual Property

The website design, layout, text, photography, logos, product descriptions and graphics are owned by us or licensed to us, and are protected by copyright and trademark law. You may view, print or download pages for your own personal, non-commercial use. You may not copy, reproduce, republish, scrape, sell or exploit any part of the site or its content for commercial purposes, or use our product photography or descriptions on another store or marketplace, without our written permission.

11. Reviews and Content You Submit

If you post a review, a photo or any other content, you grant us a non-exclusive, worldwide, royalty-free licence to use, reproduce, display and publish it in connection with the store and our marketing, including on the product page and on social media.

You are responsible for what you post. Content must be honest and based on a genuine purchase, must not be unlawful, defamatory, abusive, obscene or infringing on anyone else's rights, and must not contain malware. Reviews must not be bought, sold, incentivised or exchanged for free products, discounts or refunds. We may remove content that breaches these rules without notice. We do not pre-approve reviews, and views expressed are those of the customer, not ours.

12. Prohibited Conduct

You agree not to:

Use the site for any unlawful purpose, or to violate any applicable law.
Attempt to gain unauthorised access to accounts, systems or data, or interfere with the operation or security of the site.
Use automated tools to scrape the site, or to place orders through bots or scripts.
Resell products purchased from us as new through another retail channel without our permission.
Submit false information, including fraudulent payment or return claims.
Impersonate us, our staff, or another customer.

13. Third-Party Links and Services

The site may link to websites and services operated by others, including payment providers, carriers and social platforms. We do not control them and are not responsible for their content, policies or practices. Your use of them is at your own risk and governed by their own terms.

14. Disclaimer of Warranties

TO THE FULLEST EXTENT PERMITTED BY APPLICABLE LAW, THE SITE AND ALL PRODUCTS AND SERVICES ARE PROVIDED ON AN "AS IS" AND "AS AVAILABLE" BASIS. WE DISCLAIM ALL WARRANTIES, EXPRESS OR IMPLIED, INCLUDING IMPLIED WARRANTIES OF MERCHANTABILITY, FITNESS FOR A PARTICULAR PURPOSE, TITLE AND NON-INFRINGEMENT, TO THE EXTENT PERMITTED BY LAW.

We do not warrant that the site will be uninterrupted, secure or free of errors, or that any information on it is complete or current. Nothing in these terms affects any non-waivable consumer rights you have under the law of your state of residence.

15. Limitation of Liability

TO THE FULLEST EXTENT PERMITTED BY APPLICABLE LAW, WE WILL NOT BE LIABLE FOR ANY INDIRECT, INCIDENTAL, SPECIAL, CONSEQUENTIAL OR PUNITIVE DAMAGES, OR FOR LOST PROFITS, LOST REVENUE, LOST DATA OR LOSS OF GOODWILL, ARISING OUT OF OR RELATED TO YOUR USE OF THE SITE OR ANY ORDER.

OUR TOTAL LIABILITY FOR ANY CLAIM ARISING OUT OF OR RELATING TO AN ORDER IS LIMITED TO THE AMOUNT YOU ACTUALLY PAID FOR THAT ORDER. WE ARE NOT LIABLE FOR DELAYS OR FAILURES CAUSED BY EVENTS OUTSIDE OUR REASONABLE CONTROL, INCLUDING CARRIER DELAYS, CUSTOMS HOLDING A PARCEL, WEATHER, LABOUR DISPUTES, OR GOVERNMENT ACTION.

Some jurisdictions do not allow the exclusion or limitation of certain damages. In those jurisdictions, our liability is limited to the greatest extent permitted by law.

16. Indemnification

You agree to indemnify and hold harmless Xiangxi Shuangxin Trading Co., Ltd. and its officers, employees and agents from any claim, demand, loss or expense, including reasonable legal fees, arising out of your breach of these terms, your violation of any law, or your infringement of any third party's rights.

17. Governing Law and Dispute Resolution

These terms and any dispute arising out of or relating to them, the site, or any order, are governed by the laws of the United States and the laws of the State of Delaware, without regard to conflict-of-laws principles.

Talk to us first. Before starting any formal proceeding, email service@iotean.com with a description of the dispute and what you want done. Most problems are solved faster this way, and we will respond within one business day. If we cannot resolve it within 30 days, you may proceed to the courts below.

Venue. Any proceeding must be brought exclusively in the state or federal courts located in the State of Delaware, and you consent to the personal jurisdiction of those courts. Nothing in this section prevents either party from seeking injunctive relief to protect intellectual property or confidential information.

18. Severability

If any provision of these terms is held to be invalid or unenforceable, that provision is severed and the remaining provisions continue in full force. Where a provision is limited rather than struck, it will be enforced to the maximum extent permitted by law.

19. Entire Agreement

These terms, together with the policies referenced in section 1, are the entire agreement between you and us regarding the site and your orders, and supersede any earlier version or prior understanding. Our failure to enforce any provision is not a waiver of it. We may assign these terms; you may not assign them without our written consent.

20. Changes to These Terms

We may update these terms from time to time. The version published on this page applies to your order, and we will not apply new terms retrospectively to an order already placed.
